Challenge 14

Two weeks in!

Let’s see what we can do with this. Similar to the World’s Wife prompt a couple days back, this one comes from Charles Simic and his piece ‘Church of Insomnia’. It’s a fairly short prose poem and very simple. Composed of about five sentences, each one portraying a different part of the “church” and the final line has very defining image, something powerful and seemingly out of place, which of course really fits perfectly.

Pick your own “church” and have at it!

Happy writing!
