April 15th – Doubles

So my doubles poem I decided to make it a love poem because thats immediately what I think of when I think of things coming in twos. Here we are then – my doubles poem:

Match my movements
Watch the way our hands move
in trepidation; how fingers
brush fingers, run across
the rivers of arms.

Eyes meet eyes – identical,
searching for something;
an answer; a punchline;
anything meaningful.
Desperate for less questions.

Here, we move together –
in this bed, built for two.
Joining as only lovers do;
with care, with lusting hands
and ravenous lips.

Here, we mirror each
thrust. Each moan. Each searing
touch. Here, we love with
reciprocity. Arms locked together,
movements in sync.
